Karthigai Deepam 2010 is Underway in Tiruvannamalai

The flag ceremony that starts this festival was held on Friday, 12 November. The ‘big day’ of the lighting of the flame atop Arunachala will  be on Sunday, 21 November. There are activities every day. For a daily schedule, you can go to this link from Arunachala Grace.

Below is a photo of one of the many daily processions of the gods around Arunachaleswara Temple.

    Richard and Carol,

I am a constant reader of this blog, and as I live very very far away from India, by reading your posts I can feel myself in close proximity with my Beloved Arunachala/Shiva/Ramana.
Many thanks for doing this blog, and congratulations for your ‘double century’.

    Om Namo Bhagavate Sri Arunachalaramanaya!
